Covenant of Grace is a fellowship of Christ-followers committed to knowing God, becoming like Jesus, and serving His world. Covenant of Grace offers many ways that you can get involved and serve His world (see an overview of adult ministries below).

MINISTRY TO THE CHURCH:

COG SMALL GROUPS

  • A small group of people meet regularly to grow deeper in their relationship with one another and with Christ. Each group is held in the relaxed atmosphere of someone’s home. Various study topics are introduced each fall.

DINNERS FOR EIGHT

  • Though this ministry eight people gather together over a four-month period to enjoy fellowship over a meal. They take turns hosting and bringing a dish to share. Sign-ups begin in the spring.

GREETERS

  • A ministry to greet and welcome arrivals as they enter church on Sunday morning.

HOME SCHOOL OVERSIGHT

  • Qualified teachers are available to offer guidance to COG church families involved in home schooling.

MEAL MINISTRY

  • Our meal ministry seeks to love one another by providing meals during times of illness, childbirth, or other circumstances where members or regular attenders need practical support through meal preparation.

MEN’S MINISTRY

  • Men of Grace equips men to build authentic relationships and serve others in a Christ-like manner.  They meet together for monthly breakfasts, small group studies, golf outings, conferences, retreats, and more.

PRAYER MINISTRY

  • This ministry seeks to care for our church body by praying for one another. Prayer requests are submitted to the church office and shared with those committed to praying for the needs requested. Prayers are shared regularly through email or, in an emergency, through our automated phone message system. Our weekly Sunday morning worship program also includes a time of prayer for one another.

PARENT MINISTRY

  • A ministry that partners with the youth ministry to provide encouragement for parents and opportunities for families to spend time together serving others.

STEPHEN MINISTRY

  • Stephen Ministers equips laypersons to provide confidential, distinctively Christian one-to-one care and to those who are experiencing all kinds of life needs and circumstances, both in our congregation and community.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

  • Sunday School classes are offered at 9:15 am before the worship service. Several classes covering a variety of topics are available each quarter.

WIDOWS MINISTRY

  • Deacons organize this ministry that provides assistance for widows in our church with such things as simple home repairs, yard work, financial advice, transportation, or other minor needs as they arise.

WOMAN’S MINISTRY

  • Women’s ministry is designed to equip women to grow, serve, and have fellowship with one another. Fellowship and growth opportunities are available through Bible Studies, ladies’ Sunday School classes, teas, luncheons, retreats, and more.

MINISTRY TO THE COMMUNITY:

BELLES OF GRACE

  • Belles of Grace is a hand bell choir that visits retirement centers to perform encouraging music for residents.

DONATION OUTREACH

  • We collect and donated items for area homeless shelters and pregnancy centers.

ENGLISH FOR SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES

  • Our ESOL ministry provides adults whose primary language is not English with basic conversational speaking skills. Instruction is provided by trained volunteers. ESOL meets weekly September – December and March – May.

FIRST RESPONDERS

  • Our First Responders ministry seeks to reach out to Baltimore County Police and Fire Departments at our local Franklin Station by offering support through prayer, friendship, and sharing the love of Christ with our first Responder neighbors.

H.E.R.O.E.S CARE

  • This ministry encourages military service members and their families.

SPECIAL SUNDAYS

  • Covenant of Grace periodically holds special Sundays that feature specific ministries or needs. Special Sundays include Scout Sunday, Youth Sunday, Missions Sunday, Graduation Sunday, International Sunday, Compassion Sunday, and/or more.

MEALS FROM HOME

  • Meals from Home is a ministry that provides homemade casseroles and desserts to Baltimore’s Helping Up Mission. Volunteers sometimes assist in serving meals. The Helping Up Mission provides hope and care to people experiencing homelessness, poverty and/or addiction.

MERCY NEEDS

  • Our Mercy Needs ministry assists those in our church and community with financial needs through the Deacon’s Fund. The Mercy Needs Team meets regularly to prayerfully consider requests and consult our guidelines.

MINISTRY TO THE NATION:

DISASTER RELIEF

  • Our Hands of Grace Ministry works through our denomination’s Mission to North America (MNA) Disaster Response agency to provide hands-on help and support to PCA church communities in disaster affected areas. Volunteers from Covenant annually give one week of their time to travel to disaster affected areas where they assist in clean up and rebuilding of the affected area.

HOME MISSIONS

  • We help support and encourage over 10 organizations/individuals who minister locally and throughout the U.S.

MINISTRY TO THE WORLD:

FOREIGN MISSIONS

  • Through our involvement in Missions to the World (MTW) and other organizations, we support and encourage missionary families in over 10 countries around the world.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

  • Each year our congregation collects and prepares shoe boxes full of assorted gifts for children to be delivered throughout the world by Operation Christmas Child. Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, the international Christian relief organization led by Franklin Graham.
